Hearing Aids

The fitting of hearing aids for infants and toddlers requires a great deal of experience and training and requires appropriate technical and personnel equipment. To ensure successful rehabilitation, we have a close cooperation with specially trained children's hearing care professionals in the area.

Cochlear Implant for  Children

If a hearing aid supply is not sufficient for child development, a cochlear implant is initiated.
For this purpose, communication takes place between early childhood support, children's institution, parents and other participants.
After the implantation, children come to the regular control of hearing and speech comprehension, as well as to the consultation of the support during our office hours.

Newborn Hearing Screening

If no hearing screening has been carried out so far, or if a conspicuous result has been recorded in the maternity clinic, there is the possibility to check it. If necessary, a comprehensive audiological diagnosis is carried out and a corresponding therapy initiated.

Auditory Processing and Perception Disorder

ADN

An ADN can only be diagnosed if there is age-appropriate intelligence and concentration and there is no deafness.

For this reason, we need at least a psychological report and confirmation from the ENT specialist about normal peripheral hearing.

Lip, Jaw, Cleft Palate

We treat children with cleft lips, jaw and cleft palates in connection to hearing and language development in close cooperation with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
